Countries liberated from unwanted (?) relationships appeared on the map. We know how different these separations were, in what circumstances Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, the GDR or the USSR became a history. Common sense suggested that it had to be so, for these countries had been wrongly structured but still\u2026we spent quite a chunk of our lives with them and in them!<br \/>\nAn today? Does the time elapsed help in a sober judgement or does it colour memories with nostalgia? \u2013 asks Professor Jacek Purchla in the preface to the 7th issue of \u201cHerito\u201d magazine.<br \/>\nThe new issue of the Polish-English \u201cHerito\u201d quarterly is available now. Stories about countries that no longer exist are shared by: Ivan \u010colovi\u0107, Miljenko Jergovi\u0107, Detlef Kurth, Monika Rydiger, Simona \u0160krabec, Magda V\u00e1\u0161\u00e1ryov\u00e1, Micha\u0142 Wi\u015bniewski and Stefan Wolle.
