Heritage Academy 2014-2020. Overview of research problems in the field of management and protection of cultural heritage in Poland

The book Heritage Academy 2014-2020. A Review of Research Problems in the Management and Protection of Cultural Heritage in Poland, edited by Michał Wiśniewski and Marek Świdrak, is a collection of research articles prepared by graduates of the Heritage Academy based on their theses. This is a continuation of the first volume published in 2013 containing the work of graduates of the Heritage Academy, a postgraduate course run since 2001 by the International Cultural Centre and the Cracow University of Economics. The book provides a broad overview of research problems in the field of cultural heritage management and conservation in Poland.

Its content consists of 15. articles, most of which were written as a result of direct observations and experiences of their authors, very often professionally connected with the places or cultural institutions described. The texts reflect the main content of the study programme. Grouping them into three subsections – Places, Objects, Phenomena; Museums and Institutions; and Theoretical Approaches, outlines the diversity of the subjects of the individual studies.
